This generously sized, handwoven scarf is 12 1/2" wide x 112" long, plus twisted fringe at each end. Woven using a linen and cotton yarn milled in Italy, the twill pattern gives it a soft drape. The warp is unbleached linen, and the weft is woven in a red cotton/linen blend yarn, providing contrast to show off the weave structure. An additional lengthwise stripe in linen, highlights a change in the weaving design. While you may consider linen a summer material, its hollow core actually serves double duty, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. This scarf is beautifully lightweight and oh so soft. The three stripes located at one end are woven to match the fringe, and the direction of the twill is reversed to provide a subtle but interesting accent. Machine wash cool, air or machine dry on a low setting.
